PROJECTHoarding for a development on the King’s Road
The brief
The Sloane Stanley Estate is over 250 years old and remains a major holder of properties in Chelsea and Fulham.
Our brief was to produce and install hoardings and graphics along the 55 metre length of this King’s Road development.
The work
This was a two stage project. In May 2009, we fabricated and installed the timber hoarding that would hold the graphics. The templates were then scribed and cut-in on-site, in readiness for the opal acrylic inserts. These needed to be millimetre perfect to exactly match the aperture cut-outs of the graphic cladding.
The graphics were produced in 3m x 1.5m sections, printing directly onto 4mm dibond panels. A gloss anti-graffiti seal was then applied.
The aperture shapes were cut using our Zund cutter, with separate printing to self-adhesive vinyl. The dibond and vinyl were applied on-site in July 2009.
Results
Both client and agency were delighted with the results. The precision project was completed on time and on budget, with all graphics panels fitting perfectly.
